Plan Design

Plan Designs that are done correctly work for you rather than being an administrative and financial burden. 401(k) plans can be quite simple or complex. Factors affecting plan complexity include plan design, the number of investment options offered to employees, the permitted frequency of investment and deferral changes, and additional features such as loan and hardship withdrawal provisions. The key to the appropriate design of a 401(k) plan is meeting the needs of the company and its employees, without making the plan any more complicated than necessary. We work closely with selected independent third party administrators to provide you with documents and plans that meet your company's unique objectives.

There are many types of plans from simple turnkey packages to complex plans with many sophisticated options. Each employer can choose the plan, investments and services that best meet the needs of his business and employees

Design Flexibility

A 401(k) can be a company’s sole retirement plan or a supplement to another plan. It can be designed for immediate employee participation, with employer contributions and 100% immediate vesting, or it can have more stringent participation and vesting requirements.

A 401(k) plan can be designed to meet the objectives of different employers, from the most basic deferral-only plan to more complex plans with employer contributions, participant loans, hardship withdrawals, multiple investment options, and daily valuation.
